Last week I went on another overnight trip down to Manteo. Getting up at 4:30 in the morning was a little rough, but with a stop at Starbucks on the way out of town, I made great time. As a bonus, I brought the Nikon with me and took some photos, here are my favorite twenty.

Last night we left Raleigh at about 3:30pm with the aim of making it to Cleveland. The supposed ten hour drive ended up only taking us about nine hours, but for a good long stretch in West Virginia the weather was nasty. That weather would have been cool for photography, but our 70-80mph clip took a quick downturn as we made our way down and around the mountain roads.

As you might guess, things are sort of a blur just yet, and most of the photos taken on the drive were appropriately blurry as well. With any luck I’ll get some cool shots from around town today, and if I’m really lucky we’ll get a chance to stop by Slyman’s while in town. More updates to come!
