I had the opportunity to take the Nikon out to the Dabbs Residence in Holly springs and get these thirty-five shots both inside and out today. The wooded lot looks fantastic in the fall, and really makes for a wonderful backdrop for taking photos of this little gem. I’m very proud of this, the first house that I designed from the first meeting and managed myself, and I look forward to more clients like this wonderful couple.

The new house will be their new weekend hideway in Pittsboro, NC. As my friends know, I’m a huge fan of vernacular and historic North Carolina Architecture, and I will jump at any opportunity to mix vernacular forms with modern details and function. With that said, here here are a few photos of this new project that I am very excited aboutl. As I mentioned, it’s 90% done, so there are some details and finishing touches that are yet to come, but overall we’re very close to what will be the final design.
