113 Keeling Road - Front Side

This project includes a combination of interior and exterior renovations for a mid-century modern house in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Keeling Road Front Porch

Keeling Road Front Porch

The exterior of this home is in impeccable shape, built in 1955, the low slung roof and generous overhangs are typical characteristics of these atomic ranch homes of the 50s.

The interior is a combination of original, or near original detailing as well as several renovations at various times, by previous owners. The new owners intend to bring as much of the house’s original modern character back, while blending with elements of contemporary modernism.

Simple wood framed windows maximize light and view of the lush landscape around the home.

Future Framing Studio

This very well constructed, but aesthetically out-of-place backyard garage and studio apartment is to be renovated to better blend with the main house. The upstairs apartment will remain, but the lower garage will become a studio and workshop for the owner’s booming framing business.

Nice images of the site! This sounds like a really exciting project Mr. Long. I can’t wait to hear more about it.

Thanks Rog! Can’t wait to have more to show. There was a small (I hope) leak last week and I’m hoping the client isn’t going to end up spending a bunch of money repairing.
