Single Family Residence for Chris and Christine Dabbs – 2559 square feet
This single family home designed for the Dabbs family in Holly Springs, North Carolina was commissioned in 2008 and completed construction in the fall of 2007. The Dabbs were moving back to North Carolina from Newport Beach, California, and sought out a context-appropriate country residence that would “look like the oldest house in the neighborhood.” The modest residence used pre-cast Superior walls and prefabricated roof trusses enable a rapid construction window, allowing the family to move in as quick as possible, following their trip back east. Low maintenance materials and finishes, traditional detailing, and modern building techniques result in an easy to maintain home that will stand the test of time.
